southern macaroni salad



The ingredients: 


  •     2 teaspoons kosher salt1 (30 ounce) jar Hellman’s/Best Foods mayonnaise
  •     2 pounds dried elbow pasta
  •     ½ medium onion, diced
  •     1 (6.4 ounce) pouch chunk light tuna, in water
  •     3 celery stalks, diced
  •     3 large hard boiled eggs
  •     ½ (30 ounce) jar Miracle Whip salad dressing spread
  •     2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
  •     Optional: paprika   
Directions


  1.     Firstly, Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta (al dente) according to guidances on the pasta package.  
  2.     Pour into strainer to drain water and put aside (in strainer).
  3.     In the meantime: Dice onion and celery.  Chop hard boiled eggs.  Add ½ of mayonnaise and ½ of Miracle Whip to the pasta pot.  
  4.     Add together tuna, onion, eggs, and  celery .  Stir to mix.  Add drained pasta and stir till well combined.  
  5.     After that Add left mayonnaise and Miracle Whip. to taste,  then make sure to Add salt and pepper .  Stir to combine. 
  6.     Lastly, if needed , Sprinkle with paprika.  
  7.     Chill till available to serve.
